Scope
Workplace Plant Design • Plant Installation • Biophilic Design Consulting
Auric Capital Partners expanded into Denver to establish a collaborative workplace for a team that primarily serves clients remotely. While the office featured abundant natural light, soaring ceilings, and striking industrial architecture, it also needed to support the mental demands of financial services—where concentration, thoughtful decision-making, and trust are central to the work.
Our goal was to create a biophilic workplace that feels uplifting, polished, and grounded. Rather than simply adding office plants, we designed an environment that helps people transition between focused work, collaboration, and meaningful client conversations while bringing warmth and life into the space.
The dual-level office combined concrete, steel, glass, and white brick into an open industrial environment with little natural separation between work zones. The plant design needed to preserve openness while creating visual structure, improving workplace comfort, and softening the architectural materials without compromising the professional aesthetic.

- Assessed natural light, circulation, and how the team moves between focused work and collaboration
- Selected resilient plants that complement the architecture while thriving in the bright interior
- Used sculptural planting to soften hard materials and reinforce the vertical scale of the atrium
- Positioned greenery around gathering spaces to encourage conversation while supporting focused work
- Integrated plants at both the architectural and personal scale, from statement installations to individual desks

Plant placement was guided by the daily rhythm of financial work. Rather than filling empty corners, greenery was used to create subtle transitions between collaboration and concentration, giving the office moments to pause without interrupting productivity. Large architectural plantings anchor shared spaces and soften the industrial palette, while a living snake plant divider defines the lounge without sacrificing openness, daylight, or visual connection.
Throughout the office, plants reinforce the height of the atrium and introduce a layered tropical canopy that balances the precision of the surrounding architecture. Individual desk plants bring nature into everyday routines, creating small moments of restoration within an environment built around continuous analysis and decision-making.
The completed workplace feels brighter, more welcoming, and better suited to the rhythm of financial services. Plants help organize the open office, soften industrial materials, and support an environment where employees can focus, collaborate, and recharge throughout the day. Rather than competing for attention, the plant design quietly enhances how the office functions and how people feel within it.
In high-trust professions, the workplace shouldn't compete for attention—it should quietly support the clarity, confidence, and focus that good decisions require.
